Combine Providence, CSI, and Quincy, M.E. and you have Crossing Jordan. Well sort of. The show is less cloying than Providence, less gritty than CSI, and less campy than Quincy, Law & Order alum Hennessy plays a feisty medical examiner who moves back to the Boston home of her widowed father after she's fired from another job. She takes her old position with the coroner's office and can't suppress the urge to play detective in every unsolved death that lands on her table.
