J.J. Abrams may be the hottest TV producer in town, first creating Felicity and now one of the coolest new shows of the season, Alias. Garner plays a butt-kicking grad student who leads a double life as a double agent for the CIA. The plotting is complex and convoluted, but careful and consistent viewing uncover subtle references that put the pieces nicely in place.
