Darren Star may well become the new David E. Kelley of television. This season, he's presiding over HBO's Sex in the City, WB's Gross Pointe, and Fox's The Street, a prime-time soap that puts a whole new face on Wall Street. The Street's cutthroat young professionals make it big in the market by day and flaunt their riches and chiseled bodies in the clubs of Manhattan by night. The show features more of their nighttime activity than it does their time spent trading stocks and bonds. The Street went the way of many dotcoms: dissolved and quickly forgotten.
