NBC promoted Titans, another prime-time soap from Aaron Spelling, as the season's guilty pleasure. But campy guilty pleasures are supposed to be fun to look at and listen to. Not so with Titans. Although the ensemble cast boasts plenty of eye candy, the show is bogged down by clichéd dialogue, absolutely no plot development, and laughable predictability. The by-the-books plot involves a wealthy Beverly Hills family that's divided by divorce, better at backstabbing than backslapping, and victim to just about every social maladjustment possible.
