Snow Day brings Nickelodeon product to the big screen. Intended for the preteen set, it isn't very lovingly constructed and lacks the madcap energy that might rescue it from its own low ambitions. The premise is this: a snow day liberates the children of Syracuse, New York. They attempt to extend the scholastic interregnum another day, fighting the absurd wiles of Snowplowman (Chris Elliott). Iggy Pop squeezes in a disorienting but funny cameo as an ice-skating ring attendant who adamantly blasts oldies.
