Communication has never been a problem for Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick's characters. (They graced us with thirtysomething and My So-Called Life.) It doesn't appear to be an issue here either. Divorced parents (Sela Ward and Bill Campbell) fall hard and fast for each other and face complications from their ex-spouses and children. They make up the rules of the dating game as they go.
