John Carpenter's Vampires

Director:John Carpenter
Writer:Don Jakoby
Columbia; R; 107 minutes
Release:10/98
Cast:James Woods, Daniel Baldwin, Sheryl Lee, Thomas Ian Griffith, Maximilian Schell and Tim Guinee
Based on the novel Vampire$ by John Steakley

Mercenary for the Vatican Jack Crow (Woods) thinks he and his posse have slain the last of the vampires that have invaded a New Mexico town. But lurking behind is the master vampire, Valek (Griffith), who's pursuing a black cross that would give him and other vampires the ability to sink their teeth into unsuspecting victims in daylight. An ultra-violent, poorly acted disappointment.
