Avalanche Releasing; NR; 93 minutes
Release:10/98
Cast:David Arquette, Stanley Tucci, Kate Capshaw, Mary McCormack and Ryan Reynolds
Based on the play Life During Wartime by Keith Reddin

Tucci gives the performance of his career in this dark, offbeat film. But the film's turn from comedy to murder mystery creates a heavy-handed shift in tone. Home security system salesman Tommy (Arquette) is his boss's best employee, both honest and enthusiastic. So Tommy is horrified to learn that his unctuous boss, Heinrich (Tucci), stages break-ins and then sells paranoid victims expensive alarm systems. When the aforementioned murder occurs, Tommy suspects his boss.
