Tim Taylor rock musician Born: 1969
Lead singer, guitarist, and Moog-synthesizer-meister of the group Brainiac, Taylor was killed in a car accident just as the band was gaining national attention. The nouveau-punk group had formed in 1992 and released six LPs, including Bonsai Superstar (1994),Hissing Prigs in Static Couture (1996), and Electro-Shock for President (1997). Taylor nursed a penchant for vintage Moog synthesizers, perhaps the only music-making engine that could match his ability to wail, screech, and whisper with equal elan. Died: 5/23/1997
