Laura San Giacomo

Birthplace: Hoboken, New Jersey

After launching her acting career on the stage, San Giacomo made a remarkable film debut as the seductive Cynthia in the hit indie film sex, lies and videotape (1989). She played Julia Roberts's best friend in Pretty Woman (1990) and appeared opposite Tom Selleck in Quigley Down Under (1990). She acted in the lead role in Nina Takes a Lover (1994), appeared in The Apocalypse (1997), and With Friends Like These… (1998). She also starred in the sitcom Just Shoot Me (1997–2003).
