A skilled hand printer of literary works, he is well known for printing Robert Lowell's first book of poetry, The Land of Unlikeness, in 1944. Other famous writers whose works he printed include William Carlos Williams, Wallace Stevens, Marianne Moore, and Tennessee Williams. Died: 1997
