Talented, far-ranging actor whose cinematic roles have included the combustible new recruit in Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket (1987), a young Orson Welles in Ed Wood (1994), and the bizarre cockroach-alien in Men in Black (1997). More recently, D'Onofrio has also begun to work behind the camera, producing while playing opposite Renee Zellweger in The Whole Wide World (1996). He has also appeared in Men in Black (1997), The Cell (2000), and Impostor (2000)
