This Sundance winner follows two young American Indian buddies, Victor Joseph (Beach) and Thomas Builds-the-Fire (Adams) on a sometimes mythical, always symbolic journey from their reservation in Idaho to Phoenix. An impressive first feature, the film achieves a level of evocative poetry, both in its imagery and its humor.
