Arthur Prysock R&B singer Born: 1/2/1929 Birthplace: Spartanburg, South Carolina
Prysock joined the Buddy Johnson blues band at age 15, performing with them at Harlem clubs. He went solo in 1952 and sometimes toured with his brother, Wilbert “Red” Prysock. His popular hits include “It's Too Late, Baby Too Late” (1965), “When Love Was New” (1976), and “This Guy's in Love with You” (1988). He also crooned the well-known TV ad jingle “Tonight, Let It Be Lowenbrau.” Died: 6/21/1997
