David Schwimmer actor

Best known for playing geeky paleontologist Ross on Friends (1994– ), Schwimmer toyed with becoming a lawyer before committing himself to acting. Co-founder of the Lookingglass Theatre Company in Chicago, he appeared in The Wonder Years (1991–92) and enjoyed bit parts in Twenty Bucks (1993) and Wolf (1994) before he landed Friends. He has parlayed the show's success into a budding film career, but has mostly appeared in critical disappointments, including The Pallbearer (1996) and Kissing A Fool (1998). He also appeared in made-for-TV Uprising (2001).
