Tony Curtis (Bernard Schwartz)

Birthplace: Bronx, New York
In films from the 1940s, he first gained acclaim for his portrayal of the seedy and ruthless publicity agent Sidney Falco in Sweet Smell of Success (1957). His other movie credits include such critical and popular successes as The Defiant Ones (1958), Some Like It Hot (1959), and Spartacus (1960). He was married to actress Janet Leigh from 1951 to 1962 and is the father of actress Jamie Lee Curtis.
