When Iris (Morton), a high-strung, single, young English woman loses her beloved mother (Tushington), she doesn't exactly handle the loss with classic British reserve. First she dresses up as mum, then she goes out and has sex – and lots of it. British writer/director Adler's exploration of sex and death is both erotic and tender. The real dramatic hook here though, turns out to be the relationship between Iris and her matronly sister, Rose (Rushbrook), and whether their bond is enough to heal Iris.
