Prodigy

rock band

Masters in the art of electronica, Prodigy emerged into the British music scene in 1992. The band's first album, The Prodigy Experience (1992), spent five weeks on the U.K. Top 40 chart with help from hits like “Charly”. The band changed its music flavor, taking on grunge-influenced sound in Music For A Jilted Generation (1994). The move paid off. In 1996 Prodigy released Firestarter, which debuted at number one in both the U.S. and U.K., and helped the band earn the Best Dance Act at the Brit Awards. Surprisingly, Howlett announced that the band would disband after its third album The Fat of the Land (1997). Its members include: Liam Howlett, Maxim, Keith Flint, and Leeroy Thornhill.
