Birthplace: Chiliomodion, Greece
Papas began her career performing in variety shows and rose to stardom acting in Greek films. Her international credits include The Guns of Navarone (1961), Zorba the Greek (1964), Z (1969), Lion of the Desert (1981), Island (1989), and Homecoming (1994). She has also appeared on the stage playing Iphigenia, Electra, and other roles from the Greek classics.
