Don Johnson actor Born: 12/15/1949 Birthplace: Flatt Creek, Missouri
Television actor best known for his two marriages to actress Melanie Griffith and his role as Sonny Crockett on the TV series Miami Vice. From 1984–89, Miami Vice ruled the TV airwaves, and so did Johnson's sexy stubble. His stardom as a TV icon didn't translate onto the big screen, however, and when Miami Vice was cancelled in 1989 Johnson appeared in some unsuccessful movies and had a lot of problems with substance abuse. He has found his niche again, playing a San Francisco gumshoe on the television series Nash Bridges (1996– ). Films include Paradise (1991).
