Marty Feldman

Birthplace: London, England

London-born comedian who got his start writing comedy for British TV in the 1950s before becoming an actor in several popular series, including Marty (1968) in the U.K.and Dean Martin Presents the Golddiggers (1970) in the U.S.. A short, wide-eyed man, Feldman became popular with American audiences after appearing in two popular Mel Brooks movies, Young Frankenstein (1974) and Silent Movie (1976). He died of a heart attack in 1982, in Mexico City.
