Saul Bellow

Bellows's varied portrayals of Jewish-American life among disillusioned modern city-dwellers won him the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1976. His novels include: Henderson the Rain King (1959), Herzog (1964), the Pulitzer-Prize-winning Humboldt's Gift (1975), and The Theft (1989).
