Sorvino's films include Amongst Friends (1993), Mighty Aphrodite (1995), for which she won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, and Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion (1997). Ironically known best for her ditzy characters, she graduated from Harvard University in 1990. Her father is actor Paul Sorvino.
