Robbie Tilley Branscum

A popular children's author, she drew on her own childhood in rural Arkansas to tell stories of hardship and good times in some 20 books. Her first book was Me and Jim Luke (1971), and others included Johnny May (1975), For Love of Jody (1979), The Murder of Hound Dog Bates (1982), and Old Blue Tilley (1991).
