Dr. Dre

Rap musician who pioneered “gangsta” rap and, with Ice Cube, formed the rap group, NWA, or Niggaz with Attitude. Dre has also enjoyed success as a solo artist and producer with albums such as The Chronic (1992) and Dr. Dre Presents the Aftermath (1996), the first release on Aftermath, the label he founded in 1996, which introduced a new stable of talent that he began working with outside of the gangsta mold.
