Marion Bell

Birthplace: St. Louis, Missouri

An acclaimed light opera singer most active during the 1940's, she appeared on stage as Fiona MacLaren in the original Broadway production of the Lerner and Loewe musical Brigadoon (1947). She also appeared on screen in A Night at the Opera (1935), which was her film debut, and Ziegfeld Follies (1946). She was married to Alan Jay Lerner from 1947 to 1949.
