John Malkovich

Born: 12/9/1953
Birthplace: Christopher, Illinois

Disturbing and often spooky film, television and stage actor, Malkovich began his career on the stage and still claims a greater fidelity to the theater despite his unqualified success on the big screen. Film credits include Places in the Heart (1984), for which he earned a supporting actor nomination, The Killing Fields (1984), The Glass Menagerie (1987), Empire of the Sun (1987), Dangerous Liaisons (1988), The Sheltering Sky (1990), and In the Line of Fire (1993), Shadow of the Vampire (2000) and Knockaround Guys (2001). He played himself in the offbeat comedy Being John Malkovich (1999). Television credits include Death of a Salesman (1985); theater credits include True West (1982).
