Christine Baranski

Born: 5/2/1952
Birthplace: Buffalo, New York

Although probably best-known for her Emmy Award-winning portrayal of Cybill Shepherd's wisecracking best friend Maryann Thorpe on the hit television series Cybill (1995–97), she is also an acclaimed stage actress, having won Tony Awards for her performances in Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing (1984) and Neil Simon's Rumors (1989). Her films include The Birdcage (1996), Bulworth (1998), Bowfinger (1999), Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) and Chicago (2002).
