Bryan Adams singer, songwriter Born: 11/5/1959 Birthplace: Kingston, Ontario, Canada
Though he achieved commercial success with both his third and fourth albums—Cuts Like a Knife (1983) and Grammy-nominated Reckless (1984), respectively—his critical success came largely as a result of his songwriting work for the movies. “(Everything I Do) I Do For You” , the single he wrote and performed for Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) won him his only Grammy. His work on “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?” for Don Juan De Marco (1995) and duet with Barbara Streisand, “I Finally Found Someone”, for The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996) garnered him Oscar and Golden Globe nominations.
