The premise of this thriller reads like an after-school special: A father (Garcia) fights to get his leukemia-stricken son (Cross) a bone marrow transplant. The catch is that the only matching donor is a convicted killer (Keaton). The convict masterminds a McGyver-esque escape plan that leads to lots of hospital explosions, high-speed chases and shootouts. Garcia flexes plenty of paternal muscle and Keaton is lean and mean, but their face-off proves anti-climactic.
