Scream 2
As far as sequels go, Scream 2 is about as good as they get. Once again, Craven has fashioned a savvy send-up of the horror genre, with plenty of inside Scream jokes, tongue-in-cheek jabs at pop culture and nasty, cheap thrills. Two years after unmasking her town's menacing serial killers, Sidney Prescott's (Campbell) away at an ivy-ish Midwestern college that has on its hands a copycat killer who takes inspiration from Stab, the current movie based on Gale Weather's (Cox) best-selling book about Sidney's ordeal. Dorky deputy Dewey Riley (Arquette) returns to save Sidney and her co-eds. Along with the thrills, Craven provides more than enough chills that result in the decimation of most of the cast.
