Film actor and director best known for his hyperkinetic action films that combine slapstick comedy with skillful martial arts. Chan performs all of his own stunts and has broken dozens of bones in the process. His films include The Young Master (1980), Rumble in the Bronx (1996) and Jackie Chan's First Strike (1997). He teamed with Owen Wilson in Shanghai Noon (2000) and Shanghai Nights (2003), did three Rush Hour films (1998, 2001, 2006), and had the role of Passepartout in the remake of Around the World in 80 Days (2004). In 2008 Chan fought alongside Jet Li in The Forbidden Kingdom and voiced Monkey in Kung Fu Panda.
