No-nonsense single mother Gillian Apple (Kozak) is not ready for the chaos that follows when she accidentally frees a genie (Ales) who had been rolled up in a rug for 2,000 years. Genie becomes part of the family, and, though he takes some getting used to, Gillian eventually warms up to the charming spirit.
