Conflicted father Ray (Anderson) is the priest parishioners turn to for advice and forgiveness. The renegade man of the cloth touches people's souls every day, but he himself needs some guidance, though he has a tough time finding it. Right-wing protests and advertising boycotts against the controversial Nothing Sacred backfired, bringing attention to the show rather than away from it.
