Sharp writing and a zesty performance from Midler make That Old Feeling a rollicking bedroom comedy. When grad student Molly (Marshall) accepts her Dan Quayle-like boyfriend's (Denton) proposal, she dreads the thought of inviting her divorced parents, who haven't spoken to or seen each other in 14 years. It doesn't take long for Lilly (Midler), a flamboyant actress, and Dan (Farina), a crime novelist, to be at each other's throats. When Molly sends her parents outside to calm down, they rekindle that old feeling in a car. Lilly and Dan leave behind their respective spouses (Rasche and O'Grady), and Molly tails them with photographer Joey (Nucci), who has made a career of stalking Lilly. It doesn't take much to figure out who ends up with whom.
