A buddy/sports flick with big intentions and bigger problems. After a freak football accident leaves Seattle Seahawks receiver Tony “Ole” Olezniak (D'Onofrio) blind, paraplegic Bernard Lemley (Hines) recruits him to participate in a whitewater rafting race to prove the disabled are able. As the pair travel from Washington to Oregon, Lemley helps Ole overcome his bitterness and they form a symbiotic relationship. Uneven transition from vulgar guy talk to insightful dialogue makes for awkward scenes.
