A poignant portrayal of inner-city life, but a lack of momentum and poor pacing make for disjointed storytelling. Lex (Chinlund) aspires to be a professional basketball player but instead ends up dealing crack after his marriage falls apart. His cop brother, Mick (Raynor), tries to help him clean up his act. Sharply observed flashbacks reveal a harrowing boyhood incident that has permanently scarred Lex and Mick and forever bound them to one another.
