Hell hath no fury like four boys tortured in a detention center. Indeed, this controversial revenge tale begins in the nostalgic '60s when a quartet of kids are wrenchingly assaulted by guards after being sent to reform school for a foolish prank. Fast-forward to the early '80s, as the now-grown pals join forces to plot comeuppance on their abusers. A star-packed punch, this film caused a stir when Lorenzo “Shakes” Carcaterra, the author of the bestseller on which the movie is based, insisted the story was true, despite others' doubts.
