Juliet Prowse dancer Born: 9/25/1936 Birthplace: Bombay, India
The tall, leggy dancer gained fame in the United States when Nikita Khrushchev, visiting the set of Can-Can, declared her dancing “immoral.” She enjoyed a successful dancing career in Europe before choreographer Hermés Pan discovered her in Italy and recruited her for Can-Can. Her other films include The Second Time Around and G.I. Blues. She was briefly engaged to Frank Sinatra. Died: 9/14/1996
