Joanne Woodward

Birthplace: Thomasville, Georgia

Academy Award-winning actress whose films include The Three Faces of Eve (1957) and The Glass Menagerie (1987), which was directed by her husband, Paul Newman. She continues to do the occasional television or big screen movie. She joined her husband in the adaptation of Richard Russo's novel Empire Falls (2004).
