Carl Reiner actor, writer, director Born: 3/20/1922 Birthplace: Bronx, New York
Emmy Award-winning actor, writer and director considered one of television's most creative minds. His credits include Caesar's Hour (1954–57) and The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961–66), for which he wrote, produced and played the role of Alan Brady. His collaboration with Mel Brooks created such comedic gems such as “The 2,000-Year-Old Man” (a character they created through improvisations). He directed the films Oh God! (1977) and The Jerk (1979). His son is Rob Reiner.
