Emmy Award-winning television and film actress best known for her role as the pugnacious waitress Carla Tortelli on Cheers (1982–93). Her films include Canadian Bacon (1995) and Sunset Park (1996). She returned to television in 1996's Pearl and 2001's Kate Brasher. She is married to actor, director and producer Danny De Vito.
