Composer, cabaret comedian and film and stage actor who was at his best when performing with Peter Cook in the comedy revue Beyond the Fringe. His films include 10 (1979), Arthur (1981) and Micki and Maude (1984). In 1999 he announced that he was suffering from a rare brain disorder, progressive supranuclear palsy, that is related to Parkinson's disease. Died: 3/27/2002, Watchung, New Jersey.
