Bela Lugosi

Birthplace: Lugos, Hungary

Film and stage actor best known for his role in Dracula (1931). His convincing performance as the count and his trouble with English left him typecast as a horror actor, and his talents were never fully explored. His other films include White Zombie (1932) and Son of Frankenstein (1939).

Died: 8/16/1956
