Fiery movie actress who began her career as a dancer and made her major film debut in Only Angels Have Wings (1939). Hayworth's beauty and talent made her a top Hollywood star and popular World War II pinup. Her other films include Gilda (1946), The Lady From Shanghai (1948), and Pal Joey (1957). Hayworth's private life was lively, with five marriages and divorces, including husbands Dick Haymes, Prince Aly Khan, and Orson Welles. By 1980 she was suffering from Alzheimer's disease, which claimed her life in 1987. Died: 5/14/1987
