George Cukor

Academy Award-winning film and stage director known for his high quality, classy films, which include The Philadelphia Story (1940), Gaslight (1944) and My Fair Lady (1964). Cukor is credited with discovering Katharine Hepburn, and the two worked together in several films between 1932 and 1979.
