Montgomery Clift

Born: 10/17/1920
Birthplace: Omaha, Nebraska

Fine-featured, highstrung movie actor who often played sensitive loners. His films include Red River (1946), A Place in the Sun (1951), From Here to Eternity (1953) and Judgment at Nuremberg (1961). Disfigured in a 1957 car accident, Clift took to drink, ruining his health and career.

Died: 7/23/1966
