Felix Galimir

Age: 89

influential violinist who taught or inspired scores of chamber violinists. Galimir worked extensively with the premier composers of the 20th century, including Arnold Schoenberg, Alban Berg, and Anton Webern. He was a faculty member at Juilliard, Mannes College of Music, and Philadelphia's Curtis Institute, and performed regularly with the New York Philomusica and the Musicians from Marlboro (Festival).
