Gene Hart

Age: 68

Philadelphia radio and television broadcaster who announced hockey games for 28 years under the nickname "Voice of the Flyers"; called six Stanley Cup Finals, five All-Star games and two NHL-Soviet all-star series; ended his broadcasts with "Good night, and good hockey"; relieved of his duties with the Flyers in 1995; elected to Flyers Hall of Fame in 1992 and the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997. Died of an infection that developed following chemotherapy to treat a tumor.

Died: Camden, N.J., July 14, 1999
