As lead singer of the Australian rock band INXS, Hutchence's theatrics recalled Jim Morrison and Mick Jagger. The band became a sensation in the 1980s with the release of Kick which has sold 9 million copies and features the hits Never Tear Us Apart,New Sensation and Devil Inside. Hutchence had returned to Australia to celebrate the band's 20th anniversary with its “Lose Your Head” tour. Hutchence allegedly committed suicide.
